Treben Discussion starter · Jan 1, 2021. Hello. I have a 8 2 boss v plow. I can’t get anything to move or the motor to run but it works when I jump the solenoid. I replaced the solenoid with a brand new one and the problem still exists. Solenoid clicks but the motor only engages when I jump it with a screw driver. You could have a bad ground on the relay or a bad ground on motor! You have to run a ground wire to the casing of your relay are its not going to work right! You could jump across the solenoid with a cable to see if the pump motor is activated. Ensure you have a good ground that the solenoid is mounted to.
