Most 4wd issues on those trucks are leaking or torn vacuum lines or a seized servo cable. If it's a bad cable the engagement sleeve and axle might be damaged if it was run with the axle not completely engaged. I can get the 2 wires off and the 2 bolts for the starter. I can get the starter out of the bell housing. I cannot get the starter out from between the drive train and the frame. The S10 10bolt 7.5/7.625" rear end is a good choice for the light low to medium horsepower small block cars. If you're running a blower, turbo, nitrous, etc you will probably want to step up to a larger rear like a 9" or 12 bolt. Its pretty easy to find a good one if you are in an area with a few junkyards.
