Hello, I work at TX Roadhouse and I thought we all get paid the same but apparently not. I get paid $4 something an hour, but only took the job because I was told I would also get paid with a certain percentage of the sales they made. There are terrible customers but, there are terrible customers everywhere. At least in a fine dining establishment you are predominately waiting on people with money and they always tip well.Just remember to not take slow season personally. You can be the best server in the world and only get 10% during slow season. Keep in mind the recession right now is adding flame to the fire. Be smart with your money and have a side gig in case you get scheduled less. You must have a unique situation if the holidays are your slow season.Be friendly and helpful but also ensure you’re attentive, bringing refills and such, and also get good with multitasking. If table 1 needs a refill and table 2 needs ketchup, bring them both out at once. Don’t take rude tables or a …
