I bought 3 of them when they first came out, with custom serial numbers. I also helped some of my friends get theirs ordered with custom numbers as well. Cool project by JRA. I let these snap by and bought a Rockola. I'm very interested to see how these hold up over the years. I'm trying to visualize where they cut the BULA forging. Are the holes where the weld is or part of the Winchester heel? I have a WRA M1 with some little marks from the forging but I've never seen an original WRA M14 receiver.All joking aside, I like and own both SAI an JRA M1a/M14 guns, but the SAIs put me through some pains that required costly alterations, whereas the JRA's are good from the go (and are a superior product in terms of parts and function) right out of the box.The rifle weighs 9lbs 7oz which helps to mitigate recoil when firing. I just looked to see for myself and both the M14 TRW IDF RIFLE RARE RIFLE 7.62X51 (#622468330) and the M 14 M1A forged receiver USA TRW (#621568519) are the same serial number on the same receiver manufacturer. There's an article on James River Armory that includes the following: "JRA M14 Rifles Returning to Market Soon...members may remember the M14 receivers manufactured by JRA, (they carried the Rock-Ola name on the Heel).
