Unless you really enjoy grind and pain, get the EOD. Keep in mind you'll get future expansions free as an added perk. The extra space and starting equipment is really nice to have as a newer player. You may find the limited storage space frustrating as a newer player and this game is hard enough. Bonus: Your opinion doesn’t really matter. Mine neither.
