The scaling on faith weapons are pretty crappy still. You get more dps from the normal paths and having either Str or Dex up. Buffs are just meant to amplify damage further, which you can't do with the faith path if i'm not mistaken. While yes, people may run, its still a nice way to amp the damage. Not all people run away when they see a dmb ... Yes but the split damage makes it worse than just putting a few more points into str. This is because base damage is major factor in scaling (more important than the letter grade). Divine tends to have higher base magic damage to scale off faith. For example, an occult claymore has an A in faith scaling versus a divine claymore's B.It requires 24 dex and 24 str. It doesn't have a faith requirement but it has a B scaling on faith.
